Dan Kirby, FAIA, FAICP, LEED AP BD+C, NCARB, NOMA, is a Principal in the Orlando office of Jacobs’ design practice, where he leads the management and design of hospitality, government, mixed-use, multi-family, and retail projects. He brings extensive domestic and international experience, previously serving as Director of Development Services for Hill International, Director of Development for Capital Development Group, and Design Studio Director for Farmer Baker Barrios Architects.
Dan is committed to advancing the profession and education, having served as adjunct professor at the University of Central Florida and the Keller Graduate School of Management. He has held numerous leadership roles in professional organizations, including Past President of AIA Florida and membership on the AIA Strategic Council, and has contributed at the local and national levels through the American Planning Association and municipal advisory boards. His civic leadership includes service on the Orlando Utilities Commission, Historic Preservation Board, and multiple planning and urban design commissions.
Dan’s contributions have been recognized with the AIA Florida Silver Medal, AIA Orlando Medal of Honor, Nils Schweizer Award, and the Orlando Business Journal 40 Under 40 award.
