More than double the size of its previous 16\,000+ square-foot branch on West Lake Mead Boulevard (and originally a storefront on “D” Street in 1973)\, this stand-alone facility is an architectural landmark designed to expand access\, opportunity\, and community resources. \nDuring the tour\, attendees will experience how the design supports: \n\nRobust children’s programming and literacy services\nInteractive technology and job skills development\nCultural celebration and community gathering\n\nParticipants will also see key program elements including: \n\nA flexible Event Center\nA state-of-the-art 3D Printing Lab\nThe Historical African American Collection\nThe Digital Memories Preservation Lab\nAn all-new 60\,000-volume collection\n\nRefreshments and light snacks will be provided.\nThis tour is an excellent opportunity to learn how thoughtful design\, community engagement\, and innovative library programming come together to create a vibrant civic hub for West Las Vegas.
